Desert Rain

Rain in the desert

Parched life, parched land

greedy and grateful

sucking it all up

don’t stop kissing me

run all over my body

flash of lightning

running in the thunder

soaking it all up

flying umbrellas

surprised laughter

suits are wet

traffic is confused

Hair all messed up

brave and foolish breaking of rules

This is what love should feel like

Like rain in the desert.
